Children are motivated naturally to play so it makes sense to use this as the context for learning new mindfulness skills. Anything that helps self-regulation or draws your child into a moment of calm can be considered mindfulness. There are so many every day recourses that you can use to help encourage self-regulation.
Today I am focusing on mindful balancing. this can be done a number of ways, with or without props but let’s start by using the @growingthroughplay natural balancing stones.
